Cross Border Cooperation Program Montenegro - Kosovo 2014-2020, EU
Overall objective (i.e. impacts): The overall objective of the project is to improve the social position of the young people who are not in Education, Employment or Training (NEETs) in the selected municipalities in Montenegro and Kosovo through enhancing their employability and connecting them with potential employers. This is in line with broader social goal which aims at increasing visibility of the problems and needs of the young NEET population, as identified vulnerable group.
Specific objectives of the project are:
Information, solutions and lessons learnt from comprehensive ethnographic research among young NEETs present milestone in all future development activities and feed the debate about necessity of more comprehensive and specific policy and action towards involvement of NEETs in labour market, education system and overall involvement in the society.
Networking of young NEETs and various stakeholders is established through a specific platform dedicated to them, as well as through cross-border networking and promotion of labour mobility.
Knowledge and skills of young NEETs in the selected municipalities are improved as a result of the project activities, and they are actively looking for a job.
Concrete pilot intervention led to increased number of young NEETs who have benefited from participation and use of established networking and training platform. A share of young NEETs succeeds in finding a job.
Concrete interventions have led to raised capacities of local communities and local stakeholders in understanding the needs, but also potentials of young NEETs. Communication and cooperation between young NEETs and local institutions is established and provides a basis for further steps towards improving the position of young NEETs.
